MusikGarten Classes for Babies and Toddlers
Summer Classes are scheduled to begin June 2. Call or email today to reserve your space – 502.314.9205 * amydobben@gmail.com
I am excited to offer preschool classes for children birth – 5 years, featuring the MusikGarten curriculum. MusikGarten was created by internationally-renowned early childhood music educator Lorna Lutz Heyge, Ph.D., and Audrey Sillick, Montessori pioneer, to provide the highest quality music education programs possible for children and their families. Based on decades of research in early childhood development, MusikGarten classes promote musical literacy, singing and rhythmic skills, aural perception, language development, motor coordination, ensemble skills, and social interaction while awakening your child’s imagination.
Family Music for Babies (newborn – 18 months) 30 minutes
Designed for parents and their babies to take together, these weekly classes help you learn how to play musically with your baby. Each class features bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, and other fun activities for the two of you. When you go home, you can continue the fun with a superb CD recorded by a fine children’s choir and outstanding instrumentalists. Using your parent guidebook along with rhythm sticks, a MusikGarten rattle, and colorful scarf will give you both hours of enjoyment.
MusikGarten’s musical play for babies:
- Increases your baby’s curiosity about music
- Develops listening skills and a sense of beat
- Establishes a foundation for singing and musical thought
- Helps you form a closer bond with your baby
- Gives you and your baby a chance to interact with other parents and babies
Tuition: $115 (includes registration and materials)
10-week session beginning June 3. Friday @ 10:00 am

Nimble & Quick (family class for toddlers up) 30 minutes
Nimble & Quick is based on nursery rhymes – the beloved poems and chants handed down from generation to generation! Nursery rhymes have the staying power of a lasting art form. They offer today’s children the wisdom of the ages as well as what current research and practice tell us children need: communication, movement, interaction, repetition, and cultural customs – all experienced in a playful way.
